In Uncategorized on January 9, 2010 at 6:50 am

I know I am not alone when it comes to opposing Real ID, biometric identification and the global level of personal information sharing that poses such a dire threat to our basic freedoms.

More and more every day Americans are beginning to see the truth about these technologies and the policies that our government is using to implement them with little regard for our natural and legal rights. I am are dedicated to keeping such a system of pervasive control from being established and the Constitutional Alliance has all the experience and knowledge to empower us all to do just that.

5 Leading Issues of 2010

The Constitutional Alliance is working diligently to provide citizens with the most current information on federal legislation and state legislation that relates to many issues.

1)  The collection, maintaining and sharing of citizen’s biometric information (digital facial images, fingerprints, iris scans and so forth)

2)  The collection, maintaining and
sharing of citizens SSN’s and other personal information in state DMV databases.

3)  The use of RFID chips/tags in identification documents.

4)  The use of CCTV/surveillance cameras and ALPR (Automatic License Plate Readers)

5) Any federal legislation that requires states to comply with federal standards/international standards for the issuance of state driver’s licenses.

The members of this Alliance understand that in order for us to retain our ability to influence the direction of our government we must not permit such a powerful system of control over our lives to be imposed. Real ID and the Pass Act represent two identification schemes are no less than a global biometric identification and tracking system.

Back in September, the Constitutional Alliance correctly informed Americans that the PASS ID Act would not be passed in calendar year ’09.  We were the first organization to unequivocally state that Real ID Act implementation would be extended beyond the past 31 December 2009 implementation date.

One of the ways we are able to stay on top of the issues we address is by getting our information directly from the people in D.C. that make the decisions.  The Constitutional Alliance avoids being dependant on second hand information by directly engaging with the lawmakers, their staff, staff directors, counsel

Much credit also goes to the individuals, ranging from state lawmakers to key members of organizations to ordinary but passionate private citizens located all across the country.

Recently the Secretary of Homeland Security announced the Real ID starting implementation date was being extended to April, 2011.  Many people have taken this announcement to mean there is breathing room now for States to address the Real ID Act and PASS ID Act legislation.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

The reality is that there are many who are working diligently to come up with a compromise that will satisfy both Real ID and PASS ID proponents.  We expect PASS ID to pass the full senate the end this month or early in February.

We want you to be aware that a real battle is lining up in Oklahoma.

Several pieces of legislation are being introduced that go to the issue of “Big Brother”. We strive to provide accurate information and education about these most pressing matters so that citizens and lawmakers can make fully informed decisions. .

As a not for profit entity, the Constitutional Alliance maintains focus on the educational aspects of the issues. However, if you are interested to learn what the different pieces of legislation in Oklahoma are specifically about, you may email stoprealid@aol.com for a summarization of each of the bills.

There can be no freedom when the government controls the people

The Alliance has just finished up its DVD, Stop Real ID that drives the point home that with biometrics-

Your Body Is Your ID.

The finishing touches are being made on the book that Mark has been working on. This will give us one more tool that will be useful in educating others (including our legislators) about the dangers of Real ID and biometric identification.
